The Limits of Tolerance on the Danube
As part of the Novotvar 2026 International Literary Festival, an exclusive creative writing workshop will be held for third-year students at the Hungarian Gymnasium on Dunajská Street in Bratislava. This workshop directly builds upon Ekphrases / The Gap on the Border, a collaborative Slovak-Hungarian project initiated by the Bázis Association. Students will engage with texts by established authors (such as Peter Šulej, Pavol Rankov, Slavka Liptáková, Marianna Gyurász, Orsolya Karafiáth, Dávid Mellár, and Anikó N. Tóth), alongside visual works by prominent photographers and contemporary artists. Through a series of creative and reflective exercises, the workshop aims to guide participants in discovering their own artistic voice, exploring themes of personal boundaries, introspection, tolerance, and the mutual dialogue between two cultures.
