Eftychia Panayiotou

Eftychia Panayiotou (1980) is a Cypriot poet based in Athens. She studied Philosophy and Modern Greek Literature. Her Ph.D. thesis was on Modern Greek Poetry of the 1970s written by women. She works as a copyeditor and translates poetry from English (Anne Carson, Anne Sexton, Lord Byron, William Blake, Percy Bysshe Shelley) into Greek. Poems of hers have appeared in 13 languages. Her recent book Myths About the End of the World (2023) was awarded the State Poetry Award of Cyprus and the poetry prize of Thessaloniki Society of Writers.
