Cèlia Nolla i Yeste - 2025

Cèlia Nolla i Yeste

Cèlia Nolla i Yeste (Barcelona, 1985) is a catalan philologist, teacher, and cultural heritage manager. She currently works as a language specialist at the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística, teaching catalan to newcomers—a job she is passionate about. She is also involved in literary outreach throughout Catalonia, creating writer-themed routes and giving lectures. She has participated in poetry readings and several poetry anthologies, and has twice won the Joana Raspall short story prize (in 2004 and 2011). In 2022, she was a finalist for the Miquel Ferré Poetry Prize in Mont-roig del Camp (Tarragona, Catalonia). She has been part of various cultural associations and institutions, and in her free time, she surrounds herself with glosadors (improvised  catalan verse singers) and folk melodies. Her literary world often explores themes such as femininity, identity tied to the landscape, the language of nature, and existential questions that are never fully resolved.
