Krstní Otcovia
The music band Krstní otcovia / Godfathers / is still a newcomer on the Slovak alternative music scene. Their debut album References came out in December 2022. The band oscillates between post-punk and indie rock wrapped in motoric, kraut-rock beats. Their love of kraut-rock is what connected them to the frontman of the band Sýček, Libor Staněk II. They went to tour for the publication of his poetry collection Světelné básně / Light Poems. Its characterised by a strong concept rooted in the author’s place of birth in which he plays with the romantic authentic gesture as if it were a thought-out instruction manual. The special performance will sync the extremely raw music of Krstní otcovia with Libor Staněk’s textual collages. Word loops in a hypnotic sound. Verses unchained. Poems like pieces of bloody meat. Made in Czechoslovakia.
