Miroslav Brück

Miroslav Brück (1964) graduated from the Polygraphic Vocational School in Bratislava. He worked in polygraphic companies for over twenty years and currently works at the Municipal Office in Skalica. He has published the poetry collections Night, Grass in the Background (1989), The Temptation to Believe (1993), Night Islands and Other Rescues (1997), Orientation Map for Winter (2001), Border Road (2005), Detours (2009), Podstata rieky (The Essence of the River, 2012), Chýbajúce strany (Missing Pages, 2017), and the novellas Žmurknutie z večnosti (A Blink of Eternity, 2013) and Hotel Oáza (Hotel Oasis, 2015). His poems have been translated into several European languages. He is a member of the Independent Writers' Club in Bratislava. He is nominated for the Golden Wave Award for his collection Morning Imprints, Sprouting Plants (Modrý Peter, 2024).
