Júlia Kustos was born in 1996, in Szombathely, Hungary. Since 2014 she’s living, studying, working, and writing in Budapest (HU), actively participating in the city’s cultural events. In 2018 received one of the most important literary awards for entrant writers (Móricz Zsigmond Írói Alkotói Ösztöndíj). Her first book, a collection of poems, was published in April 2022 (Hullámtörő/Breakwater, Jelenkor Kiadó). Her primary source of inspiration is nature, fine arts, and literature. Currently works on pieces of prose fiction, a verse novel, and poetry simultaneously. Besides writing, she works as a freelance editor and translator as well.
