Anita Harag

Anita Harag (1988) is a short story writer living in Budapest. She has been publishing novellas in literary journals since 2016. Her first short story collection, Évszakhoz képest hűvösebb (Rather Cool for the Time of the Year), was issued by Magvető Publishing in Hungary in 2019. In the same year she was awarded the Péter Horváth Literary Scholarship established for the best work of the year written by authors under 35. In the following year she received the Margó prize for best debut. Her short story collection was published in Germany by Schöffling Verlag (Es ist zu kühl für diese Jahreszeit translated by Timea Tankó, 2022). Some of her works were also translated into English by Marietta Morry and Walter Burgess and published in the US and Canada.
